Episode nine of the NOWNESS' In Residence series delves into the carefully curated environment that designer Michael Anastassiades calls home. The designer's space serves as a place where he both lives and works and it was created with the aid of Anastassiades' architect friend Wim de Mul.
The house is like a "museum of objects," but since it is a home, the pieces on display in the house are just as functional as they are artful. The placement of objects and furniture within the space is quite restrained, but it also becomes difficult to see where paintings, light fixtures and other decor pieces stop being art and start becoming essential parts to the designer's home.
