The 'IKKIS' Kitchenwares by Gunjan Gupta are Traditional

— June 13, 2019 — Art & Design
The 'IKKIS' kitchenwares have been designed by Gunjan Gupta as a series of items for the home that draw inspiration from traditional objects to highlight the importance of Indian heritage craft. Unveiled at Maison & Objet 2019 in Paris to the delight of attendees, the items all feature a distinctly creative aesthetic that puts focus on traditional items one would find as a mainstay part of the everyday Indian lifestyle. This includes a glass, platter, decanter, flatware and much more that has all been given a gilded finish to create a high-end user experience.

The 'IKKIS' kitchenwares collection consists of 21 items in total, which is where the project gets its title as Ikkis means 21 in Hindi.
