The Toyota Hui car-sharing service has finally launched and will be an exclusive service to Oahu in Hawaii. Much like Zipcar and General Motors Mave, Hui will allow users to order and unlock cars with their smartphone and will feature new vehicles in various locations around the city. The current offering will have 25 parking spots around the city with about 50 cars in circulation. Toyota has assured that the Hui car-sharing service will be incredibly convenient because gas is included and all payments can be done via a smartphone.
The Hui car-sharing service currently offers two different pricing plans. The first is the Elite plan, which features and undisclosed membership cost, and will range in prices depending on the vehicles they choose to drive. A Freedom pay-as-you-go membership plan will also be offered but will charge higher fees for renting cars.
