The House in Yatsugatake is, as the name suggests, a residential property located in the Yatsugatake mountains of Japan. However what makes this particular architectural project so unique is the fact that it sits positioned on a sloping mountain ridge at the foot of the Yatsugatake mountains, offering expansive, unhindered views of the Japanese landscape. The property, which was conceived by the Kidosaki Architects Studio, maximizes potential sight lines by virtue of being horizontally extended, with a pair of diagonal steel cylinders supporting the cantilevered mass.
