Horse Stable Houses

E/L Studio Converted an Equestrian Center into a Modern Live/Work Space

Although originally built in the 1800s, this horse stable house is far from dated. Instead, the interior has been completely redesigned into a contemporary live/work space for a young couple. Airy and open, the first impression upon looking inside through the large 'gate' is an open concept office. Complete with a long conference table and white shelving, it is a great space to get work done.

The horse stable house continues the all-white interior to the back and the second floor. Yet these areas are created specifically for the family. The bright orange railing snaking up the stairs adds a playful touch in the horse stable house. Exposed brick and colorful furniture complete the striking space. Designed by E/L Studio, it is located in Washington, DC.
