American design studio Moody Nolan and the Obama Foundation unveil the official images and plans for the Home Court design. This is meant to be an athletic facility at the Presidential Center campus in Chicago. It will feature a plethora of functions including a regulation-size NBA basketball court, athletic facilities, and community spaces with a goal of harnessing wellness and health.
Moody Nolan director of Chicago operations Renauld Deandre Mitchell speaks about the design plan, stating "The Home Court will support the Center's mission as a forum for community, connection, and civic engagement with a focus on promoting well-being – inspiring hope and improving lives for generations to come. The process of architectural design embodies these values, for it is an act of hope – the outcome of which endures as a conversation between what is seen and how it is experienced."
