Herakut Must Mean 'Mindblowing' in German

Herakurt is a German artist pairing of Hera, a woman and Akut, a man. The artistic team create artwork that most recently has delved into philosophical ponderings of the self. The subjects in the paintings appear to be children. There are layers of meaning in each piece.

Last year Herakut had a solo show at the Red Flagg Gallery in New York and an installation at Z-Bau in Germany.

Implications - The duo create art in a very non-traditional way, and it shows in their work. Hera sees fish as representing one's inner psyche, and allows the symbol of psychology for fish to dominate her section of the painting. Akut uses phootrealist faces to represent his.
