Heineken Studio and Axel Chay Partnered for a New Beer

Heineken Studio and Axel Chay announced a partnership that has seen the latter designer creating a limited-edition beer for the former brand that's pays homage to Marseille, France. The beer was developed between Chay and Heineken's master brewer Willem van Waesberghe, and features a seasoned lager profile that's paired with a custom-designed can that further pays homage to the city. The beer boasts notes of peach and pineapple in every sip that will call to mind the South of France, while Camargue salt, which is native to Marseille, adds additional regional variance.

Waesbrghe spoke on the Heineken Studio and Axel Chay partnership saying, "Our creative partnership began with an exploration of Axel’s base of Marseille and his vision for the beer. Our goal was to craft something that harmonised the crisp, refreshing character of Heineken with flavours that held a deep, personal meaning.”
