French photographer Sebastien Laval captured these phenomenal photos of the stunning streets of Hanoi at night. These photographs were captured by Laval in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, a city that takes on a completely different personality after-hours and in the middle of the night.
Laval first became enchanted by Hanoi during a visit to Vietnam in the mid-1990s, a time when the city was very different to today. He was completely taken with the people, architecture and the culture. He eventually wandered off the beaten path and followed hidden side roads to reach completely hidden parts of the city for his photographs.
Hanoi at night is a stunningly beautiful place, where paradoxically enough, bright colors seem to come to light at dark due to the switching on of lights inside homes.
Ultimately, this photo series shows how a city can transform at night.
