The New Handy Melts x KitKat Combine Cheese and Chocolate

— January 13, 2025 — Lifestyle
Pizza Hut Japan has teamed up with KitKat to debut the new Handy Melts x KitKat creation.

The new Handy Melts x KitKat, also known as the Kitto Meccha Tokeru Handy Melts, are essentially a sweet version of Pizza Hut's handheld pizza pockets. Essentially, each sandwich features Pizza Hut Japan’s signature pizza dough and cheese wrapped around some crunchy chocolate KitKat wafers.

Interestingly, the sweet treat was inspired by busy students preparing for exam season. Pizza Hut Japan wanted to provide the students with a way to "energize their brains after a full day of hard work," which is why the comforting combination of chocolate and cheese was created.

The new Handy Melts x KitKat will be available from Pizza Hut Japan from January 14 through March 9, 2025.
