Nigerian Heritage Greeting Cards

These Handcrafted Greeting Cards Celebrate Britain's Diversity

In an effort to shed a spotlight on Nigerian heritage, Georgina Fihosy is creating handcrafted greeting cards that showcase Britain's diverse population.

Fihosy's greeting card company is called 'Special Touch Designs' and it includes a wide variety of African-inspired prints. The idea for the handcrafted greeting cards came about after Fihosy looked for a card to give to a Nigerian friend and discovered that she couldn't really identify with any of the cards on the market. Now Fihosy makes her own designs that depict different aspects of Nigerian heritage. As an extra special touch, the beautiful images are created using African wax, colorful prints and textured boards.

With a significant portion of the British population coming from abroad, Fihosy's new line makes the greeting card industry more representative of a broad range of consumers.
