Hana Marie Newman, a NYU student, recently designed a dress that was equipped with an oxygen tank that purifies any air entering inside the bubble. She named the dress '8' and is very proud of its air-purifying and fashion-forward characteristics.
Hana Marie Newman hopes that her dress and its design will inspire other designers. She states that "It glorifies the oxygen tank and is a constant reminder to the user that she is breathing clean air and to the audience that they are not." She believes that the dress sends out an important message. While the dress may not be ideal to be worn on the busy streets of New York, it certainly boasts some cutting-edge design and will definitely raise some awareness with regards to the increasing levels of pollution.
