Honest Burgers is turning its Heinz tie-up into a Halloween giveaway featuring 'Carnage Loaded Chips,' served with limited-edition 'Chilli Bite Ketchup.' The one-day offer lets burger fans try the collaboration without committing to the full 'Chilli Con Carnage' burger.
The burger and chips are on menus at all branches from 6 October to 2 November. When doors open on Wednesday 14 October, each restaurant will offer 31 free portions on a first-come basis. Every guest in that group receives a £5 burger voucher. The next 19 customers at each site receive the same voucher.
Offering 31 free portions per restaurant turns a side dish into a scarcity play that drives opening-time traffic. The burger voucher turns a quick sample into a return-visit nudge, a tactic that fits other seasonal QSR and casual dining collaborations.

Why This Trend Is Growing
- Scarcity-led Sampling
- Limited free portions create urgency around low-commitment menu trials, giving restaurants a way to convert seasonal buzz into measurable foot traffic.
- Seasonal Sauce Collaborations
- Brand-tied condiments can turn familiar menu items into timely novelties, opening space for foodservice partnerships built around short-lived flavor exclusives.
- Voucher-backed Giveaways
- Free product drops paired with return incentives extend the value of sampling events, linking trial moments to repeat-visit behavior.
Industries Being Reshaped
- Quick-service Restaurants
- Fast-casual and QSR brands can use timed giveaways and limited-edition sides to create traffic spikes without relying solely on full-menu discounts.
- Condiments and Sauces
- Sauce makers gain cultural relevance when limited flavors become the centerpiece of restaurant activations, expanding beyond retail shelves into experiential dining.
- Foodservice Marketing
- Promotional agencies and restaurant marketers are finding opportunity in hybrid campaigns that combine scarcity, sampling, and loyalty mechanics.
