The Häagen-Dazs NOW App Offers On-Demand Geo-Targeted Deliveries

'Häagen-Dazs NOW' is an app that allows consumers to place on-demand orders and make the most of a geo-targeted delivery service, meaning that one can place an order even if they are on the go.

To use the new service, users are able to place an order via a chatbot in Facebook Messenger. Web-based geo-location APIs are then used to pinpoint a customer's precise location through their mobile browser. As their ice cream delivery approaches, consumers are able to watch in real-time.

Currently, this on-demand service is being tested in London with a temperature-controlled delivery van and portable freezer bags, with the potential for Häagen-Dazs NOW to become a convenient addition to outdoor events. Earlier this year, Domino's introduced address-less Domino's Hotspots that allow for a similar, flexible out-of-home delivery solution.
