SilencerCo has created a new superhero in the form of Johnny Dronehunter to promote its latest gun silencer, the Salvo 12 shotgun suppressor, which will be available later this year. Appealing to freedom-loving Americans, who are also currently obsessed with the tough comic book and action movie culture, the gun silencer ad campaign follows Johnny Dronehunter as he drive down an open road. As soon as he spots a drone, however, the commercial takes an interesting turn.
Fun and adventurous, the gun silencer ad campaign was all about creating a narrative for its audience. CEO Josh Waldron says, "We created Johnny Dronehunter and intend to continue a series of videos in this vein with him as the main character to represent the Americans who feel they don't have an appropriate voice in this privacy debate."
