Guitar-Shaped Desk Scissors

Nikken Cutlery Turns Working Scissors Into a Tiny Electric Guitar

Nikken Cutlery built its 'Seki Sound' as working scissors that double as a tiny electric guitar, giving stationery collectors and music fans a pair worth leaving on the desk. The body opens into the finger loops, while the neck becomes the blades, so the shape is integral to how the tool is used instead of surface decoration.

A removable ABS plastic cap finishes the headstock, covers the point, and keeps the blades closed in storage. Made in Japan, the 7.8-inch piece uses stainless-steel blades, sits on an elastomer stand, and is sold through YD Select starting at $30.

Pricing from $30 turns a utilitarian office item into a giftable stationery buy without pushing it into a high-priced collectible. The stand and locking cap broaden its appeal beyond novelty decor by giving the sculptural form a clear storage role.
