The unit features a large design that's portable to accommodate shifting between locations and is equipped with 1,536 RGBIC LEDs that can be used to achieve an immersive illumination setup. The high pixel density means the unit can be used for displaying a variety of lighting effects, which is further enhanced with the 35fps support for a cinematic style lighting experience. The unit can be used for displaying a number of immersive visual experiences, including artificial intelligence (AI)-generated ones.

The Govee Lightwall also supports real-time music syncing to accommodate use with amateur or professional music setups.
