This clever Google map art project by Taiwanese designer, Shu-Chun Siao juxtaposes that most modern of mapping devices- Google Maps, with the natural homing instinct of our feathered friends.
As part of Project Google Birdhouse, the designer has placed a number of birdhouses in the shape of the iconic Google map markers around Taiwan in the hope that they will become a navigation point for the birds, just as they are for humans.
The artist states: “The project tries to view the world from different perspectives and scales. We shall change our characters to be surprised by the macro and micron landscapes.”
