The Google app is hoping to become as indispensable to people as any other digital platform. The latest development involves users' health. People will be able to obtain the calorie count of fast food items when searched for. The company released an official statement reading, "From calories to carbs, the Google app now gives details about menu items from popular restaurant chains."

This feature is not only available through the Google app, but also Ok, Google voice commands. Helping both the user and the company itself, this calorie counter will ensure people are still eye-balling ads even as other apps compete for their attention. The Google app feature nevertheless requires some tweaking. Fast Company points out that not all of the fast food chains are part of the system yet.
