This giant pink knitted toy rabbit on the side of the Colletto Fava mountain in the Piedmont region of northern Italy has just been picked up by Google Maps, and is added to a growing number of giant sized art projects designed to be seen from space.
The 70 meter long pink toy rabbit was created by Viennese art collective Gelitin, who say it is supposed to make you feel small, like Gulliver.
The rabbit took 5 years to make is crafted from soft, waterproof materials and stuffed with straw, and is hoped to remain in place until 2025. I can’t see anyone being able to take it home with them, so unless the giant child returns for their rabbit, you are still in with a good chance that you can see the rabbit for a long time to come.
