Garbage Truck Makeovers

The Saatchi & Saatchi Garbage Ice Cream Truck Marketing Campaign is Sweet

The Saatchi & Saatchi South Africa company made a garbage ice cream truck to promote Tuffy scented bin liners for disguising bad odor. The brilliant marketing campaign to transformed a smelly garbage truck into a friendly neighborhood ice cream truck. The truck took passerby’s by surprise. The garbage truck makeover included dressing the vehicle in candy-stripped vinyl and plastering a giant melted ice cream sculpture to add height and dramatic effect.

The garbage ice cream truck strolled through streets playing traditional ice cream truck music from its speakers. The attention-grabbing marketing campaign promoted the Tuffy scented garbage liners in an amazing fashion.

The concept took five months to pant and implement. The playfully fun spectacle demonstrated that the Tuffy-scented liners can even make a giant smelly garbage truck smell phenomenal.
