Nostalgic Ice Cream Cakes

The Fudgie the Whale Cake is Arriving into Publix Bakery Freezers

I Love Ice Cream Cakes has announced an extension of its Carvel ice cream cake range with the announcement of the Fudgie the Whale cake to revive the nostalgic dessert for shoppers. The ice cream cake draws inspiration from the original cake debuted as a Carvel ice cream shoppe exclusive for Father's Day in 1977 and sees it reworked into a round format with the familiar character on top. The ice cream cake will arrive into Publix Bakery freezers as a round, 46-fluid-ounce version that serves six to 10 people, and boasts chocolate and vanilla ice cream with Carvel Crunchies as a finishing touch.

Brand Marketing Manager at Rich Products Kim Mrowczynshi spoke on the Fudgie the Whale cake saying, "Fudgie the Whale is more than just a cake — it’s a shared memory for so many families. This summer, we’re excited to bring that nostalgia into homes in a new way, providing families who aren’t near a Carvel shoppe the opportunity to celebrate the moments that matter most.”
