The popular Fruit Ninja app has inspired everything from real-life fruit-slashing activities to video games and plush toys, and it is now also being turned into a new YouTube Red Original series for kids.
'Fruit Ninja: Frenzy Force' will soon be released as a 13-episode 3D animated series based off of the chart-topping mobile game. Kids will be introduced to a cast of four warriors, each of which has a special fruit-inspired superpower that they will use to take down their enemies. Most interestingly, Fruit Ninja: Frenzy Force is being produced by Halfbrick Studios, the same studio that first developed Fruit Ninja.
Considering that the Angry Birds app has been turned into a movie that made millions at the box office, there will likely be plenty more apps that will offer other forms of kid-friendly entertainment beyond mobile games.
