The Friedenau Housing Cooperative Taps Studio Alexander Fehre

The architectural practice Studio Alexander Fehre has completed the interior design for the new administrative offices of the Friedenau housing cooperative. This project is located within a recently constructed building adjacent to a public transit station in Berlin.
The design concept for the office was developed to accommodate the Friedenau housing cooperative's small, closely-knit team by providing a diverse array of work settings — from private offices and semi-open collaborative zones to informal meeting alcoves. These components were arranged around a central, flexibly furnished conference room that serves as a communal heart. A deliberate material and color scheme delineates the different functional areas within the space. Oak wood elements, for instance, provide warmth, while a distinctive, custom-crafted slatted wall with a color-shifting finish introduces a dynamic visual element.
