Fortnite Develops Freedom Town for Harris/Walz Campaign

As the 2024 presidential election is in its final stretch, Fortnite is exploring a unique marketing approach with the Freedom Town USA map as a part of the Harris/Walz campaign. The map by Epic Games is different than its usual matches as the new structure is reported to have no guns.

Instead, the game brings attention to racing with cars and playing in a parkour style. The Freedom Town Map also has special campaign signs and decorations for the current election. This is not the first time that political ads have made their way into the gaming industry as it also happened in 2008. Back then, Barack Obama introduced the concept with purchased ads in 18 games.
