Millicom Introduces Free Streaming Apps in Latin America

Millicom is launching several free streaming apps for the purpose of boosting mobile usage and data in Latin America.

Post-paid customers will be able to access a variety of content, such as Qello, a high-definition streaming service for live music, concerts and music-based documentaries, as well as Tigo Musc and online gaming app Gameloft. Customers who opt for a pre-paid service model will be offered entertainment, health and fitness apps, in addition to all of the local content.

The company hopes that the free applications will leverage the growing mobile market, increasing the use of data in Latin America. The company wishes to provide Latin American residents with access and opportunity for a "digital lifestyle," offering the quality content and services for free.
