Mirrored Panel Tropical Gardens

Research Artistic Design + Architecture Designs the Frame Garden

Local design studio Research Artistic Design + Architecture creates the Frame Garden. This is a design project located in Jakarta, Indonesia with the focus of encouraging the local community to optimize the use of the local park. There is a garden run by Tanatap along with a small gallery space and visitor facilities under the partially outdoor tropical garden space.

Additionally, there are large mirrors that frame the interiors, reflecting the trees and opening up the space whilst inviting the outdoors into the structure. The studio explains, "Frame Garden celebrates its porosity being as open as possible as a contribution to the cityscape. Without a front or back, the building is free to be approached from all directions while taking advantage of the surrounding landscape."
