Arriving two years after its initial release in the U.S., Kirin Brewing Company has announced the launch of its Four Roses Small Batch Select Bourbon in the U.K.
The expression completes Kirin's permanent line-up, arriving as what the brand has called its 'Fourth Rose.' According to the company, it will be distributed by Spirit Cartel in a limited rollout of 3,000 total bottles, making it a somewhat exclusive offering. In terms of taste, the 52% ABV expression conjures notes of raspberries, nutmeg, and cloves on the nose, with apricot, vanilla, ripe berries, and light oak on the palate.
“It’s an extension of what we do well at Four Roses – balancing candied fruit with warmth and spice and enjoyable to both connoisseurs and casual drinkers alike," said Brent Elliott, Four Roses' master distiller.
