Foster + Partners Introduces Two Stations on the Sydney Metro

Architecture studio Foster + Partners has unveiled the latest part of the ongoing Sydney Metro extension project with the two new stations. It opened to the public earlier this week and it is the Gadigal station and Barangaroo station. It is part of the first phase of the Sydney Metro City & Southwear line which runs from Chatswood to Sydenham through central parts of the city.

The head of studio at Foster + Partners, Luke Fox shares the design method, stating "Strengthening our public transportation networks is essential for creating a healthy and sustainable urban environment. Having grown up in Sydney, it has been a great privilege to be involved in this pioneering project that will significantly improve travel across this spectacular city."
