Wrapped-Around Timber Abodes

Forrester Architects Blends This House with its Surroundings

London-based architecture firm Forrester Architects has recently completed this house in Norfolk in the UK, which blends in well with its surroundings.

The building is made almost completely out of timber, with an all-encompassing wrap-around design. Considering the home is situated in a more rural, wooded environment, the look works well and does not appear out of place. To ensure the abode would be eco-friendly, the design is energy efficient, with the colder, northern-facing area having less windows to keep in the heat more effectively. Moreover, the entire design process was done to avoid too much waste, with much of the timber being constructed off site and then brought in for fitting.

This building by Forrester Architects is certainly an upgraded version of a cabin in the woods, and an eco-friendly one at that.
