Forests As Lungs

WWF Ad Campaign Compares Deforestation to Cancer

This is a picture of a forest cut in the shape of a pair of lungs to raise awareness for deforestation. While the lung to our left looks healthy, the one to our right has been subjected to deforestation and thereby looks like a lung with an internal illness.

The image is strong and leaves you with a clear awareness of the damage done to the wildlife that live in that area.

The picture was used as an ad campaign for the WWF to visually remind us of the importance of trees to the atmosphere. The ad was created by the French advertising agency TBWA, Paris.
