Online Image-Recognition Extensions

'Find It on eBay' Helps Consumers Locate Products Seen Online

'Find it on eBay' is a newly launched image-recognition feature in the site that is enabling consumers to locate products with more ease than before.

Essentially, if a consumer is browsing the web and stumbles upon a product or clothing item that catches their eye, that item, or something similar, can be easily located through eBay's retailing listings. Simply screenshotting an image using the extension, and opening the image through the app, will prompt the site to locate the product. This means that the online retailer will direct consumers to that a pair of boots seen on Instagram, or a couch seen in an online magazine.

Find it on eBay is aiming to make the entire Internet shoppable, while enhancing the consumer experience.
