Carmen Nash Designs the Folk and Flora Series for Troy Lighting

Carmen Nawsh from Loft and Thought designs the Folk and Flora collection for Troy Lighting. It is a capsule that reimagines all of the designer's favorite folk art narratives merged with her own believed concept that stories can be built off of one another. The collection's lighting is different as it also forms a cohesive range feeling close due to the use of tones and textures.

There are eight lamps in the collection -- all of which are made from a blend of natural materials including terracotta and abaca. Nash states, “In my world of design, palm fronds become lampshades, and lighting is rendered through the visual retelling of my favorite passages from novelists such as Zora Neale Hurston and Toni Morrison. I hope that showing lighting through my lens evokes joy and thought."
