Antoni Martorell Pascual Designs the Catalina Table Lamp

Designer Antoni Martorell Pascual created the Catalina Table Lamp, which is a striking visual design that brings attention to its traditional beauty and handmade craftsmanship. Additionally, it also promotes the culture and livelihood in which it represents.

The products are made by hand and not suitable for mass production as they fuse ordinary lamp electronics and the basics of a lampshade which has been meticulously woven by hand. It also uses palmetto leaves and traditional weaving processes that are known as 'Llata' that originated from Mallorca. This technique has been passed down through various generations and has been a heritage practice that has been threatened by the rise of mass production of not only lighting but furniture as well.
