It's tragic enough when Mother Nature rears her ugly head, but when we contribute to the devastation of human kind through events like oil spills, it truly saddens my heart; that is why I find the Florero Chapapote vase so poignant. It truly shows how our mistakes can stifle the beauty of our planet and life in general.
Created by Spanish designer Curro Claret who is currently based in Barcelona, the Florero Chapapote vase looks like a mount of tar that was cooled into a solid form. Although it represents a rather dislikable material, there is something beautiful in its inky form.
