Aiming to help reduce the damage inflicted on bicycles that are shipped to customers, bicycle brand VanMoof has begun using flat screen TV boxes to ensure proper handling.
Many brands on an international scale are turning to eCommerce in order to sell goods on a larger, worldwide basis, and VanMoof is no exception.
The Dutch bike brand began to use the flat screen TV boxes to ship out the brand's premium bicycles when damage was starting to become a serious issue after the product left the factory. After switching to the new boxes, VanMoof is reportedly seeing a 70-80% decrease in the number of damage reports being lodged by new bike owners. With the shipment of goods on the increase thanks to eCommerce, the shipping box swap is a crafty move to help protect goods.
