Item-Locating Flashlights

The 'FLASHFIND' Helps the Blind Find Things in Public Spaces

The conceptual 'FLASHFIND' is a clever piece of equipment for those with visual impairments to help them locate specific items or products when in a store or in their home.

Designed by Mohsen Darvish, the flashlight works by integrating a short range and long range capability that will automatically search an area after the user has provided a spoken command for what they are looking for. This allows users to locate items in a store or location without having to ask for help to keep them feeling independent and prepared at all times when shopping.

The conceptual 'FLASHFIND' flashlight works by locating a product or item and offering beeping feedback to direct users towards it on the shelf.
