Fresh Produce Papers

Fenugreen Keeps Fruits and Vegetables from Spoiling

Based in Harvard Square, Massachusetts, Fenugreen is a social enterprise that has created an innovation that attempts to keep fruits and vegetables from spoiling thereby minimizing food waste. FreshPaper is the invention itself, which is now hit the mainstream an dis sold at Whole Foods. The company also holds a TOMS-esque one for one model: for every pack of FreshPaper bought, one is donated to a food bank.

Fenugren's Kavita Shukla and Swaroop Samant were one of the 53 Echoing Green Fellowship Finalists for this year -- of which the lot were announced at the end of last month in April.
