Fred Armisen Gives Satirical Advice for Fashion Week Promotion

These satirical fashion advice videos by Amazon Fashion were used to help promote men's New York Fashion Week. Fred Armisen is a memorable face in comedy, having made appearances on SNL and is well-known for his work in the show 'Portlandia.' The show 'Style By Fred' mocks the ideas many men have towards fashion and the widespead fashion nos that all too many participate in. The primary idea the show satires is making sure to look like you're trying too hard, something many men believe will make them look feminine or unmanly.

Each of the three episodes run approximately two minutes, making the light videos function as comedic ads for the event. Not only that, the videos dispel misconceptions towards the fashion industry and the sarcastic skits work to promote the brands involved.

The first episode shows Armisen give fashion advice for formal events, jokingly telling men that "the more formal the event, the more you should be tucking in your clothes." Progressively tucking in more and more articles of clothing, ending with his socks tucked into his pants which have his shirt tucked into them plus a plethora of accessories.
