The 'Fan Check Machine' Gives Billboard Magazines to True Fans

In order to promote Billboard Magazine, a 'Fan Check Machine' that exclusively dispenses magazines to true fans was created. Launched in Brazil by Ogilvy & Mather, the machine released a magazine to fans with more than 20 tracks of the issue's featured artist. However, if you have less than 20 tracks, the machine questions whether you are truly a fan in a snarky fashion.

The 'Fan Check Machine' connects to your iPhone through a cable protruding from the machine. Without the hassle of downloading an app, your phone gets checked. After your phone is connected, the device scours your music library in order to identify if you're truly a fan. If the machine can find at least 20 tracks made by the artist on that issue's cover, you get a magazine.
