Faux City Backdrops

Hong Kong Has Created a Fake Skyline to Combat its Smog Problem

In order to beat the smog problem that Hong Kong is facing, they have created a fake skyline that is available for photo opportunities.

It is terrible when on vacation you aren't able to take a decent picture because of bad weather. Unfortunately, the smog problem is so rampant in Hong Kong tourists aren't able to get any cityscape in their photographs. In order to beat this problem, the government has installed massive backdrops that have the skyline on them.

These backdrops are positioned right on the water. This is a popular destination for photos because of the architecture in the back and the water in the front. The fact that Hong Kong has had to rely on a fake skyline in order to ensure there can be photos of their stunning cities, alludes to the massive impact metropolises have had on the environment.
