Eye Contact-Focused Video Calling

A New FaceTime Feature Makes Conversations Feel More Authentic

A new update has revealed a FaceTime feature that encourages eye contact. The feature is a result of Apple running its beta program before it releases its new operating system. It was then apparent through the beta program that the FaceTime app will get some improvements. However, the feature is only in the iOS 13 beta version and the company has not indicated whether it will be in the final release of the operating system.

Specifically, the FaceTime feature will make it look like users are making eye contact, even when they are not. This will encourage eye contact during a conversation which will make it feel more like a face to face interaction. The feature was needed as a reminder for users to look at the camera when making a video call.
