Focus-Enhancing Technologies

Zoom's 'Focus Mode' is Designed to Help Kids Focus in Virtual School

Zoom has announced its new feature that is designed to help kids focus better when learning remotely.

The new Focus Mode will help eliminate distractions and offer students direct contact with their teachers. The new mode essentially prevents children to see their peers in class, so that their attention is on the instructor. While the teacher will still be able to see all of the children in the class.

The feature was designed with the upcoming school year in mind, as digital learning is expected to continue. The host will be able to enable or disable Focus Mode whenever they please, and can still share a participant's screen if needed. This new feature is available on the latest version of Zoom.
