Zoom's Avatars Feature Lets Users Become a Cartoon Animal

Zoom has debuted the 'Zoom Avatars' feature that allows users to transform their appearance into a cartoon animal. With Avatars, Zoom is providing easy ways for meeting attendees to lighten the mood of a conference while also providing an opportunity for more camera-shy participants to show up on camera.

When using the Avatars feature, only simple facial expressions will be translated onto the screen. These facial expressions include smiling, frowning, and other basic emotions. Alongside the release of Avatars, Zoom has also released several new virtual backgrounds and filters to improve the virtual conferencing experience of work environments. Additionally, the Zoom Avatars feature will be beneficial to students participating in virtual schooling, as students will be able to confirm that they are paying attention without needing to show themselves.
