Everyday Asian Life Captures

Expat: Hong Kong by Taylor Curry Find Beauty in Every Moment

The Expat: Hong Kong photo series gives people an intimate everyday look at what it is like living in the urban Asian city. Although some of the scenes may seem strange and trivial, it is these occurrences that give the series a poignancy many will appreciate. Instead of focusing on the grand and bizarre, the series finds the beauty in the everyday.

Shot by Taylor Curry, a photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia, the Expat: Hong Kong photo series documents his time spent in the city during the Winter of 2012. The excitement of escaping the Americas and exploring a foreign culture propelled him to capture his experience. As It's Nice That Points out, "Taylor seeks out the unconventional areas around the city and captures a place where the people and culture are far more interesting than the architectural monuments themselves."
