The Fat Chair is a Winner

— July 4, 2008 — Art & Design
Remember the scene in Fight Club where Brad Pitt was throwing “raw material” over the fence? (It was human fat they were stealing from a hospital that did lipo.) That’s exactly what I thought of when I saw this chair. It’s a prize winner by Charlotte Kinsnorth. Reading further, I found out I was right on: the chair was inspired by a portrait of a real overweight person. The gentle beech wood is engorged by the obese upholstered cushion.
