With its place-and-play solution, eStop is helping to modernize bus stop information boards for the convenience of consumers who opt to use eco-friendly transportation systems. The eStop information board has the potential to be installed—without the need for digging and cables—to display a wealth of information on real-time arrivals, service changes, passenger capacity and more. The solar-powered system is waterproof, tamper-resistant and boasts "paper-like readability in bright sunlight" and a built-in illuminator for the night.
Designed by Mercury Innovation and powered by Visionect, the eStop is available in a number of varieties, including a single e-paper screen and the eStop Dual with two e-paper screens.
So far, the eStop has been tested in Sydney, Australia by Transport for NSW, with riders raving about the design and technology features offered by the innovation.
