If you're perusing New York City and happen to come across some incredibly realistic feathered friends on washed out walls or graffiti-covered concrete, chances are the Erik Berglin 'Birds' Project has touched down.
Berglin, a Swedish artist that is now a bonafide New Yorker, began in 2006 by posting ducky decals and photos of fowl around Europe to bring a touch of nature to the surroundings polluted by only propaganda and spraypaint. No need to read into the deeper meaning behind the bevy of birds, Berglin claims it's more of a hobby than anything, despite that while wheat-pasting them up, he gains a few confused looks.
The Erik Berglin 'Birds' project has been in flight for years now but will hopefully continue to add intricate exotic plummage to city slicker scenery.
