'Elden Ring' is an upcoming action-adventure role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game was created in a collaborative effort between director Hidetaka Miyazaki and novelist George R. R. Martin, whose epic fantasy works inspired the 'Game of Thrones' series.
The single-player game has been under development since 2017 and is expected to release sometime in 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Elden Ring transports players to a dark fantasy world, which they have the freedom to explore in an open-world format. The game has been compared to FromSoftware and Bandai Namco's 'Dark Souls,' a notoriously challenging RPG series that places players in a bleak world that's endlessly unforgiving.
