Catering to the growing number of consumers going gluten-free, Starbucks is introducing two new diet-friendly breakfast options called the Sous Vide Egg Bites and the Certified Gluten-Free Breakfast Sandwich. Not only are the new dishes a great option for those who suffer from Celiac disease, but they are also a healthy choice for those looking for lighter breakfast fare.
The newest additions to Starbucks breakfast menu will be available in early 2017 and will help the chain expand its gluten-free selection. The first of these new offerings is the Sous Vide Egg Bites, which are made from eggs and then cooked in a water bath for a "wheat-free, low-calorie, high-protein, convenient breakfast." The other early-morning offering is the Certified Gluten-Free Breakfast Sandwich, which features an egg patty, cheddar cheese and Canadian bacon on a gluten-free multigrain roll.
